City’s Season Degrading Loss Against Crystal Palace

With only 7 matchdays left to the Premier League season, Manchester City’s 2-1 loss against 11th place holders Crystal Palace is not good news for the former title winners. This adds to their streak of now four consecutive away game losses.

The first goal was taken by The Glaziers in the first half when a save by Joe Hart deflected to Glenn Murray who popped the ball between the posts. This was questioned immediately by Captain Vincent Kompany as being offside, however match officials considered it a goal which left him in disappointment. City took yet another blow from Palace when Puncheon striked one into the bottom right corner during a free kick late in the first half.

Toure made a retaliatory strike in the 78th minute to make the score 2-1, one which did not change before the final whistle leaving Kompany and co. in disappointment

Kompany Frustration

Their next fixture will be an interesting match up with rivals Manchester United. Currently nine points behind Chelsea at the top of the table and trailing behind Arsenal and United, chances of them retaining their title is low.
